Comments: This hypothesis falls right in line with the alien teachings of Scientology and as you can see from visiting their website, they have been very busy as of late. I don't see them as being "the Harlot" from Revelations, but I could definitely see them joining forces with the Catholic/Episcopalian etc. churches particularly if they begin to espouse the "alien" theme as well.

Comments: Hey Gary, would you like to elaborate on what you mean by your response? It sounds hinky--as though you meant to post it elsewhere.

Comments: You're absolutely right. I intended to reply to Pete's article on the Feast of the Rapture. Either the page got updated, while I was logging in or I selected the wrong link. Either way, thanks!

That was really good, Steve.  Thanks!

Also I agree with what you wrote below, totally. Some of the translations are off base.  I was thinking of Joseph and the path that God led him on.  He was directing Joseph's path; but as a human, I didn't think it seemed straight.  Though it all worked out.

"And finally – all this leads to God “directing (my) paths.” It’s harder for me to appreciate those translations which say He’ll “….make my paths straight.” I’ve never really seen a straight path; even the good ones meander a bit. That’s why they are “paths” and not sidewalks."

Comments: Thank you Steve for this great message! I am not 'struggling' with my faith and trust in my Father God overall. Daily He is with me. Your words about "staying the righteous course when self-centeredness and integrity are clashing", are very important. When temptation comes - and it certainly does - no matter how righteous (living to please God) any of us thinks we are, we must remind ourselves that God is watching all the while satan is trying to pull us away. Making the righteous choice is not always easy. Praying ceaselessly for God's strength to resist throughout the battle, works for me! Only trust Him! Look beyond 'the problem' through His eyes and according to His Word. What a wonderful walk with The Lord life can be when we "lean" on Him.
I call it my 'Faith Rest'. I'm sure I am not the only one. Glad you wrote about this. bkay
